Studio
FO Architects is an international architecture and interior design studio based in Milan, specialising in bespoke residential architecture and carefully curated commercial interiors. Working throughout Europe, the studio delivers projects across the United Kingdom, Belgium, Spain, Sweden and Italy, collaborating with a trusted network of local consultants, craftspeople and contractors to ensure every project is rooted in its context.
The practice approaches architecture as a complete design process, where buildings, interiors, bespoke joinery and furniture are conceived as one coherent whole. From the earliest concept to the final details, every element is considered to create spaces that feel timeless, balanced and deeply connected to the people who inhabit them.
Each project begins with a careful understanding of the client, the site and the way the spaces will be lived. Rather than following a predetermined style, the studio develops an individual response to every commission, shaped by light, proportion, materiality and craftsmanship. The result is architecture that is calm, enduring and highly personal.
The studio's work ranges from the transformation of historic townhouses in London to contemporary homes overlooking the Mediterranean, private residences across Europe and bespoke workplaces for design-led brands. Although each project responds to a different context, they share a common ambition: to create spaces that enrich everyday life through thoughtful design, natural materials and a lasting sense of place.
Based in Milan, FO Architects works internationally through close collaboration with experienced local teams. This approach allows the studio to remain directly involved throughout every stage of the design process while drawing on local knowledge, technical expertise and craftsmanship. Clients benefit from a single point of contact and a consistent design vision, regardless of the project's location.

Francesca Oggioni
Biography
Francesca Oggioni is an Italian architect and designer. She graduated in Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano in 2002 and moved to London shortly afterwards, where she spent the following seventeen years building an international career in architecture.
Her early professional experience focused on large-scale urban and strategic projects, including work on the masterplan for the London 2012 Olympic Games. Over time, however, her interest shifted towards a more intimate scale of design and the relationship between space, materiality and everyday life, leading her to specialise in bespoke private residential architecture.
In 2010 she co-founded Griffin Oggioni Architects in London together with Nina Griffin-Sahebkar. The practice developed a portfolio of residential and commercial projects, primarily in central and west London, characterised by a thoughtful and highly personalised approach to design.
In 2021 she returned to Italy and established her studio in Milan. Based in a former artist’s atelier near Brera, the practice focuses on bespoke residential projects internationally, with commissions across Belgium, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom.
Having lived and worked between Italy and the United Kingdom, and through a longstanding personal connection to Flanders, Francesca has developed a design language shaped by different cultural influences. Her work combines Italian notions of domesticity, British rigour and a deep appreciation for the atmosphere, craftsmanship and material sensibility of Northern Europe.
Her projects have been featured in Elle Decor Italia, Elle Décor Spain, Attitude Magazine, House & Garden UK, Beta Plus Books, while one of her residential projects in London was selected for Zara Home’s 2019 Autumn campaign and featured in the Colin King book ‘Arranging things’. Her own apartment in Antwerp, photographed by Tijs Vervecken, was featured on the cover of Elle Decor Italia in March 2026.
