Residence PGT
Set across the seventh and eighth floors overlooking Hyde Park, this apartment was designed for a young family returning to London after many years in Hong Kong. The project draws inspiration from the spatial qualities of contemporary Asian homes, where openness, natural light and fluid living define everyday life.
A generous open-plan living space forms the heart of the home, bringing together the kitchen, dining and living areas. The existing structural beams create a subtle rhythm across the ceiling, naturally defining different zones while preserving the continuity of the space. Large windows frame uninterrupted views across Hyde Park, making the landscape an ever-present backdrop to daily life.
The interiors are composed in warm, muted tones with natural materials that create a calm and welcoming atmosphere. Timber, textured finishes and carefully selected furnishings introduce a quiet Asian sensibility, expressed through proportion, materiality and simplicity.
Designed around a young family life, the apartment encourages shared moments throughout the day: children playing within sight of the kitchen, long meals around the dining table, and spaces that remain connected without sacrificing comfort or intimacy.
