A home where light and shadow shape the experience of art and everyday life.

Located within one of BBPR’s iconic Brutalist building in Milan, this apartment was designed around an existing collection of minimalist and abstract art for a family moving back to the city after years abroad.
White surfaces allow the collection to breathe, while generous openings frame the crowns of century-old trees of the internal gardens and views of the Duomo, creating the feeling of living in a sophisticated tree house in the city.

The project follows the character already present in the architecture. Bright, open spaces invite gathering and shared moments. A sequence of darker, more intimate rooms leads towards the private quarters, where texture, shadow and silence create intimacy and invite rest and relaxation.
