A holiday home designed for gathering and living close to nature.

Located on Sweden's southern coast, this family home was created for a client returning to the place where he grew up after many years living in London. Together with his English wife and their three young children, he imagined a house that would become the center of family life during the holidays, a place where generations could gather, friends from around the world would always be welcome, and everyday life could unfold between the sea, the pine forest, and the warmth of a shared table.

While the architecture opens generously towards the surrounding landscape, the interior was conceived to create a sense of comfort and intimacy. Every room, every piece of joinery and every furnishing was developed around the family's routines, carefully considering how they would cook together, welcome guests, return from the beach, spend quiet mornings or long evenings around the barbecue and sauna.
The project sought to embrace the restrained character of Nordic design through natural materials, tactile fabrics and spaces that invite people to slow down and stay together.

The house is less about objects than about the life it makes possible, a place where architecture quietly supports family, hospitality and the simple rituals that turn a holiday house into a family home for generations.
